O Centro Histórico do Porto, foi classificado como Património Cultural da Humanidade, pela UNESCO, em 1996. Nele se encontra o testemunho das origens medievais da cidade, num conjunto urbano que em articulação com o Rio Douro apresenta uma imagem de rara beleza.

The historic center of Porto was classified as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1996. It is the testimony of the medieval origins of the city, an urban set that in conjunction with the Rio Douro features a picture of rare beauty.
