Lagos (Algarve | Portugal)

Lagos é uma cidade localizada no Barlavento Algarvio, no sul de Portugal. É conhecida pela cidade velha amuralhada, pelos penhascos e pelas praias atlânticas. Uns degraus íngremes em madeira levam à enseada arenosa da Praia do Camilo.

Os penhascos da Ponta da Piedade, nas proximidades, oferecem vistas deslumbrantes do promontório e um farol. A Igreja de Santo António, uma igreja ornamentada do século XVIII, situa-se do lado oposto ao Castelo dos Governadores, um castelo com uma fachada e torres barrocas. Lagos is a town located in the Western Algarve in southern Portugal. It is known for the walled old town, the cliffs and the Atlantic beaches. Steep wooden steps lead down to the sandy cove of Praia do Camilo.

The nearby cliffs of Ponta da Piedade offer stunning views of the headland and a lighthouse. Santo António Church, an ornate 18th-century church, is opposite the Governors' Castle, a castle with a baroque façade and towers.
