Thousands of British tourists are scrambling to leave Portugal after the country was removed from the green list of quarantine-free destinations. Tourists wanting to beat the deadline have been hit by a combination of many flights being sold out, and available seats being sold at inflated prices. Thirty nine flights were scheduled to depart from Faro Airport on Monday June 7th , nearly double the usual amount of flights. Intense scenes of huge queues of people were captured at Faro Airport in Portugal by Daniel Frost. Daniel posted the video with the caption "Mad scenes at Faro Airport! Can’t even find the end of the queue." The changes came into effect at 4.00am on Tuesday 8 June. Anybody arriving in the UK after this point will have to quarantine for ten days.
