Hello guys! Last month we visited Porto in Portugal, an incredible city with a lot of history. After about 3 days of discovering the streets and monuments of Porto, we thought about doing something different. So, we went to a small coast town called Matosinhos. This place in the past had more than 50 canned sardine factories in operation and today only two have survived in the business.
This fish is part of Portuguese cuisine, in addition to being cheap and presenting a high nutritional value. Conserva Pinhais celebrates 100 years of history in 2020 and keeps its business very well structured, selling mainly to Scandinavian countries, also in gourmet shops and online. In this pandemic period, sales increased, as many people stocked canned sardines to consume for a long period due to the uncertainty of the time. Thank you for watching, we love visiting Matosinhos and also end our day in Porto, eating a gluten free crepe with chocolate!
Thanks for watching, Thais Guimaraes
