Living With Dementia - A Journey My Mum Won't Forget!

My 92 year old Mother has both Dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Dementia is a syndrome (a group of related symptoms) associated with an ongoing decline of brain functioning. It can affect memory, thinking skills and other mental abilities.

The exact cause of Alzheimer's disease is not yet fully understood, although a number of things are thought to increase your risk of developing the condition.

These include:
Increasing age
A family history of the condition
Untreated depression, although depression can also be one of the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.
Lifestyle factors and conditions associated with cardiovascular disease

Since the Global Pandemic began, my Mum has been indoors for the last 3 months and has not ventured out, so I decided to take her for a journey she would not forget. A trip to the local fish and chip shop. The Barracuda Fish Bar in Mansfield.

I've been caring for my Mum now for months, anyone who has a relative with this disease, I know what you are going through, She was relatively good when I filmed this, but there are times when it's so difficult.
