Faro é uma cidade portuguesa e capital da sub-região do Algarve, pertencendo a região com o mesmo nome e ao distrito de Faro.
É sede do município de Faro que tem 202,57 km2, subdividido em 4 freguesias. O município é limitado a norte pelo município de São Brás de Alportel, a leste por Olhão, a oeste por Loulé e a sul com o Oceano Atlântico.
