Enjoy a soothing walk under the stunning Lisbon bridge of Vasco da Gama, starting at the incredible tower of the Myriad Hotel, at the Parque das Nações park.
Ponte Vasco da Gama bridge is the second longest bridge in Europe after the Crimean Bridge, and the longest bridge entirely within European Union, being 12,3Km long [Wikipedia]. It was named after the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, and was inaugurated in 1998, 2 months before the Lisbon Expo 98, coinciding with the 500 anniversary of Vasco da Gama's arrival to India in 1498.
This Zen Walk starts by the Tejo river, with relaxing sounds of water splashing on the shore, and overlooking the iconic tower of the Myriad Sana Hotel, built years after the Expo 98, as an extension of the original tower, one of the exhibition's main attractions. This relaxing riverside walk takes you along the green park of Parque das Nações, making some zen stops along the way, and will take you under the impressive bridge of Ponte Vasco da Gama.
You'll be able to admire this gigantic structure from below, while walking on the green grasses of this riverside park.,
