May 2021 LAGOS, PORTUGAL - All restrictions have been lifted in the Algarve, and shops and restaurants are now open and are eagerly waiting for tourists to arrive!
It was a lovely sunny day so we decided to take the train from Portimão to Lagos to explore this historic city.
This is the first of two videos on Lagos. In this video we wander around Lagos itself and check out many places of interest:
Lagos Fortress
Slave Market
City Walls
Stunning street art
Get lost in the back streets of historical Lagos
We look at menus to give you an idea of restaurant prices, and as we're Frugal Travellers we find the cheapest lunch special in town.
In the second video (coming soon!) we walk out to some of the beautiful beaches near Lagos, and also show our trip to Ponte de Piedade and Praia don Camilo with our friends @TwoCreativeTravelers
We will be providing weekly updates on the situation in Portugal leading up to what everyone hopes will be a fun filled summer holiday destination for citizens from the UK and US and all around the world.
Remember to hit LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed this video - there will be many more to come as we are planning to spend a few more months in Portugal.
