Day 7: Lisbon city tour part 2
Since this was our last day of the trip, we took it easy, did some shopping, and visited 2 restaurants and a rooftop bar we wanted to visit. The meals at the restaurants and the bar were great, and the view from the rooftop bar was stunning.
Breakfast:
We visited the famous Martinho da Arcada (Praça do Comércio 3, 1100-148 Lisboa, Portugal). The restaurant was steps away from our hotel, and it’s a historic place; it’s been around since 1782. We ordered blood sausage, egg tarts, and cod pies. They were all so delicious. We encountered some impressive architectures of Portugal as we walked around the city of Lisbon.
Lunch:
We had lunch at the Terraço Chill-Out Limão (Limão Rooftop Bar. Av. Duque de Loulé 83, 1050-089 Lisboa, Portugal). The view from the bar was glorious. We had port wines, a bruschetta, and a burger. The burger was so juicy and good as well. It was a such a great place to sit, dine, and drink!
Dinner:
We had Francesinha for dinner at Puro restaurant (R. Luciano Cordeiro 74A, 1150-217 Lisboa, Portugal). It’s an ultimate cheating meal where a sandwich with steak, cheese, ham, eggs, and gravy on top is served. Can’t go wrong with the combination of these ingredients. The serving size was huge, so enter hungry! I really liked the spicy Francesinha. I was so full after the dinner.
We ended our last night with beers at one of the patio seating areas of a restaurant on Rua Augusta.
Overall, the trip to Lisbon was so amazing that we almost wanted to extend our trip. I would love to visit Porto and Algarve next time I am in Europe. I heard many good things about them as well.
The fun didn’t end until the very end of the trip. There were lots of things to shop at the Lisbon airport. I ended up picking up a bottle of Port wine and a shirt. The airport has a delightful shop for canned sardines if you are interested.
Thanks for virtually joining my journey to Portugal. I hope that the videos helped you in planning your trip to Portugal.
Happy travels!
Cheers,
