Before Faro we stop at Silves the former capital of the kingdom of the Algarve's, like a great deal of Iberia heavily influenced by its Moorish beginnings with Arabic architecture never far from your gaze.

Eventually reaching Faro just before night fall graffiti here is more of an expression rather than a point of discord. Our hotel is not that far from the centre of Faro and its many eateries, bars and shops, although rather busy it was easy to lose the crowds and relax at your own pace.
