Build a garden bed! Do it! Ahhhh!
PS: Be smarter than I was. Wear safety gloves when handling sheet metal. Even if it doesn't feel sharp, it is!
Buy this stuff, **per each bed**:
2 of these:

2 of these:

2 of these (cut them in half at the store):
https://www.homedepot.com/p/4-in-x-4-in-x-6-ft-2-Ground-Contact-Pressure-Treated-Timber-288741/301913683
One of these builds 2 1/2 beds:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Fas-n-Tite-8-x-2-in-Ceramic-Deck-Screws-1-lb/1000428173
3 bags of these:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sta-Green-2-cu-ft-Garden-Soil/3353740
1 bag of this:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/2-cu-ft-Light-Brown-Gold/50261731
And get enough logs to make 1 layer on the bottom of the bed, then cover with cow manure or compost (not included above), then a 6 inch layer of sticks, then manure up to 6 inches short of the top of the bed. (optionally add a single layer of cardboard, non glossy). Add the Sta-Green garden soil, even out with a 2x4. Dig a small hole per plant, drape the plant so the roots are straight, then brush soil under the plant until there is a mound and the plant stands without you holding it. Press the mound down gently, until the soil does not bounce back. Then top with mulch.
The easiest way to add mulch is to gently cup the plant with your hand, then with the other hand drop mulch around the plant. Once the mulch is distributed evenly and fully around the plant, let the plant go. The plant should now stand firmly on its own without any leaves touching dirt. If the leaves touch dirt, add more mulch.
Peace and love! (and practical, analytically sound decisions)
