Situated on Spain’s Costa Blanca on the Southeast Coast, Alicante is the capital of Alicante Province and the eighth-largest metropolitan area of Spain.
It is a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer months. Alicante is known for its stunning beaches and historic landmarks.
I love the Old Town in Alicante, with its colorful houses, small squares, and independent restaurants serving fresh fish every day. I was also so impressed by the scale of the Santa Bárbara Castle, as well as the views of Alicante city from up high.
In this video, I answer:
What is the old town in Alicante called?
How many days are enough for Alicante?
What is Alicante best known for?
I also provide some context around the Santa Barbara Castle, and Alicante Central Market (Mercat Central d'Alacant).
