I buy a racer /cruiser Sigma 36 in Suffolk and spend a week preparing it for a 605 mile coastal and offshore trip to the Menai Straits, North Wales. I get some hot summer weather and some good sailing weather sailing home, all managed to do in September, a second summer for me this year when I thought I'd be lucky to sail at all considering the outlook of Covid restrictions earlier in the year. Over 1000 miles of sailing including my Scottish trip in July.
All content my own and all rights reserved excluding the little excerpt from U96 Schiller remix which doesn't belong to me.
It was good to meet up with Dave Osborne from Newlyn Harbour who helped me when I was weather bound on my Sabre 27 trip 'Winter sailing solo Devon to Anglesey' seven years ago.
If you want to see more of Sigma 36 sailing I can recommend: https://youtu.be/00jNZg1FYMQ2014 Solo Tasman race - Sigma 36 'Rogue Wave' by MrKevlep. If I could get mine set up like that, she would be ideal.
