A bus terminal in Oyingbo, Lagos, could be seen destroyed on Thursday, after protesters set the station on fire on Wednesday evening amid the ongoing End SARS unrest in Nigeria.
The protests on Wednesday follow the reported killing of at least 12 people by Nigerian forces who attended an anti-SARS rally in Lagos according to Amnesty International.
For two weeks, thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets nationwide to protest against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad police unit, accused of extortion and civil harassment.
The unit was dismissed on October 11 but the protests have continued with demonstrators demanding general law enforcement reforms.
