Frangokastello ist fuer mich eines der schoensten Orte auf ganz Kreta. Ein Ort wo man wirklich relaxen kann, ohne trubel, ohne massentourismus. Es gibt den bekannten Strand direkt neben der alten Festung, aber mein Favorit ist der Strand Orthi ammos.
Dieser Strand ist mit sehr wenigen Leuten besucht, was heisst das es schoen angenehm ist dort zu schwimmen und es ist schoen ruhig!

Und klasse Essen gibt es auch noch, und es lohnt sich von dort natuerlich nach Sfakia zu fahren (probiert die produkte von der Baeckerei Ntourountous!)

Absolut eine Tour wert !!

For me Frangokastello is one of the most beautiful places in all of Crete. A place where you can really relax, without the hustle and bustle, without mass tourism. There is the famous beach right next to the old fortress, but my favorite is Orthi ammos beach.
This beach is visited by very few people, which means that it is nice to swim there and it's nice and quiet!
And there is also great food, and of course it is worth driving from there to Sfakia (try the products from the Ntourountous bakery!)
Absolutely worth a tour !!
