In mid-July 2023, we stopped in Lisbon for a few days of touring, dining and shopping. Upon arrival, we walked the Baixa Chiado area near our hotel.
The next day, we took a private tour by SUV of the nearby coastal towns of Cascais and Sintra. On the way out of town, João our tour guide from Moment Trip Tours (Lisbon) showed us some popular sights Lisbon. Then we proceeded to Cascais and Sintra for a view of noteworthy points of interest in these seaside towns. Both locations were beautiful and especially Sintra with quaint structures and bustling tourism. So much so that we are talking with friends at home in Vila Real de Santo Antonio about returning to spend a weekend in Sintra. We can get there using Portugal’s vast train service lines.
After a few days enjoying Lisbon, we took the Metro from our hotel to Oriente Station and caught an Express train home to the Algarve.
We loved both Cascais and Sintra and of course, we love Portugal.
