Nestled on Le Chaland Beach along the south-eastern coast of Mauritius at 10-minute drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, the 164-room Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas is a tranquil hideaway offering secluded luxury to foodies, beach lovers, culture and history buffs, nature enthusiasts and sporty adventurers. Developed in partnership with Currimjee Jeewanjee & Co, a conglomerate operating in a number of sectors, including telecoms, cable TV, food and beverages, commercial services and hospitality, the resort is one that has been designed in compliance with sustainability initiatives. These include the 30-metre ozone-based swimming pool, solar technology for water heating, a landscape that incorporate endemic flora, a water treatment plant enabling reuse of water for irrigation and the use of recycled materials for decoration and embellishment of the premises.
Ground Kent Architects, Australia, and Abacus Interior Design from Thailand, in collaboration with the Office of Global Architecture in Mauritius are behind the superb architecture that makes Anantara Resort so unique. All the guest rooms and suites offer stylish bedrooms, bathrooms with rain shower and separate bathtub, and a terrace or balcony with a daybed overlooking the lush tropical gardens and the Indian Ocean.
Anantara Spa offers a range of therapeutic treatments including traditional massage therapies, detox treatments and hammam wellness, with facilities including five treatment rooms, a Turkish hammam and two outdoor Thai massage pavilions.
