Here we return to one of our favourite Zen Walks locations, the beach of Alfarim / Meco. In this video, we descend the labarynth-like wooden steps, which invite us down to the white sands famous in this area. The straight edges and angles of these recently constructed walkways provide interesting visual contrast to surrounding rugged dunes and plant life. The relaxed mood of today's walk is inspired by the conditions of the day: an unusually calm and almost still Atlantic Ocean, warm weather, with no winds. Check out an adorable pair of sand hopping birds at the 16:00 mark, as they forage for insects between the waves. Along the way, we observe some bathers taking advantage of the still waters, and, always wanting to create enticing videos for the Zen Walks community, I decide at a certain point to remove my shoes and head out into the water myself. Talk about immersive! Moving along, we encounter a curious pyramidal sand fortress, with the backdrop of some mighty ochre cliffs, which we then explore at close range, before ending this Zen Walk at the tranquil lapping shore line. This video is the essence of Zen! We hope you enjoy it.
