Slide and Splash - Great Water Park Action in Lagoa Portugal - The Algarve

There are plenty of water park options in The Algarve region of Portugal, but Slide and Splash is among the best - if not THE BEST in the immediate area. Aqualand is nearby, but it hardly matches the atmosphere or excitement of SnS.

Zoomarine is another good one, just outside of Albufeira, but that's more of a marine park - as you get dolphins, shows, a Ferris wheel and other activities, man geared towards younger children.

For pure water park action - Slide and Splash is your game.

That said, the lines are long at the height of summer, so be prepared. Especially for the newer attractions, such as this year's new attraction - "The Wave."

To take up some time while not waiting on line, there are bird shows, reptile shows and other entertainment available, including plenty of places to eat - including the eight dollar hot dog.

Not allowed to take cameras on the ride, so here you get more of a tour, not the sliding excitement. They wouldn't even let me on the slides with my St. Christopher chain around my neck. Soft.
