NBA GM weighs in on Ball family in Lithuania.
19-year-old LiAngelo Ball and 16-year-old LaMelo Ball are preparing for life in Lithuania after signing a one-year deal to play for BC Prienai, a part of LaVar Ball's master plan to make sure each one of his three sons end up on the Lakers' roster.
Among the many potential problems facing the Ball brothers, from culture shock to the pressure to succeed without a backup plan, is the fact that UCLA may have been a better platform for LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball to impress NBA executives. Boston Celtics GM Danny Ainge addressed the Ball family's decision and simply didn't seem impressed by the level of basketball in Lithuania.

"I didn't really understand leaving UCLA. It's a great program and they live right there in Los Angeles…. Lithuania is a long ways away and it's not really a competitive league over there.
