Marcha Corrida: Dia Internacional Mulher | Tavira (AOA)

Na sequência das comemorações do "Dia Internacional da Mulher" a Associação Oncológica do Algarve organizou no Domingo dia 12 de Março, no Jardim do Coreto (Largo das Palmeiras), a 9ª edição da Marcha / Corrida do Dia Internacional da Mulher, em parceria com o Município de Tavira.

A iniciativa decorreu em dois percursos, numa suave marcha/corrida de cerca de 6,5 e 8,5 km, com uma boa participação das Gentes de Tavira e não só, para além de outras atividades, dentro das quais destacou uma sessão de Showcooking sobre cozinha saudável com produtos da época, realizada pelo grupo Nutriviva.

Este evento não só celebrou as mulheres num domingo saudável, bem-disposto e desportivo, como também foi um convite a toda população para se consciencializar acerca da problemática do cancro da mama, patologia que embora também incida numa pequena percentagem de homens, afeta sobretudo mulheres.
